There are lots of hot springs through out the Sikkim and the water of those springs content high amount of Sulphur. The water of these springs is believed to have therapeutic properties.
Yumthang Hot Spring is near Yumthang village in North Sikkim. To reach to the spot, one has to walk for few minutes from the motorable road. Arrangements have made for people to take bath in this hot spring. Yume Samdong is another hot spring near Yumthang. It is located close to Donkia la pass and is 25 kilometers away from Yumthang.
There is Reshi hot spring near Reshi. This popular hot spring is 25 kilometers away from Gyalshing and located on the banks of Rangit river. The water of this hot spring is known for its healing power for skin ailments.
Borong hot spring in Borong is also a popular hot spring. People consider that this water has medicinal power. Visitors come over here and keep their body immersed as long as they can to exploit the healing power of this water. Seven kilometers away from this hot spring there is Ralong hot spring. It needs a sixty minutes stroll from Ralong Monastery to reach the spot. People also recognize that the water of this hot spring has curing power. So people congregate here to have a dip here.
Being a mountainous terrain, Sikkim has lots of caves. Some of these caves are considered as holy caves. Most of these caves are not in the list of popular attractions. Those are lesser known to people and are tough to reach. Tough trekking is the only way to reach to some of these holy caves.
The mountainsides are dotted with many caves, which are considered holy by the people and revered as places of pilgrimage. It is believed that Guru Rimpoche and Lhatsun Chenpo have halted and meditated in these caves. Most of these caves are located in remote places requiring tough treks.
Lharinying phu is considered as holiest of these caves. One could reach there after a three-day rigorous trek from Tashiding.
Dechhen phu is located above the Dzongri in West Sikkim. This is also in a remote place and very tough to reach there. This spot remains snow covered and highly unobtainable.
Pephu is another holy cave located five kilometers away from Ravangla. This cave is close to Sangmoo. One could reach there after a thirty minutes stroll down the hill from Sangmo. In between Tendong and Maenam hills Pephu is very large cave.
